The Erie Canal Harbor Development Company is hoping to get underway soon on building its proposed amphitheater project on the Outer Harbor. Business First notes the plan is to convert the site of a former Tops warehouse. That plan needs reviews from a Common Council committee and the Buffalo Planning Board. Pending approvals, the project could be out to bid by late summer or early fall.
The City of Lackawanna has been awarded a $300,000 Brownfield Assessment and Cleanup Grant from the EPA. This funding will be used by Lackawanna to perform up to 25 site assessments on former industrial and other lands within the city limits.
