National Grid has awarded more than $1.1 million in economic development grants to fund nine western New York projects. Among them: the adaptive re-use plan for the Central Terminal, funds for Sucro Sourcing in Lackawanna, cleanup and remediation for the Barcalo Buffalo project, an expansion of Thin Man Brewery LLC and an expansion for Zambistro Restaurant in Medina.
M&T Bank is again among the top 10 financial institutions in the country when it comes to U.S. Small Business Administration lending. M&T provided 1,115 7(a) loans for a total of $201 million in the SBA's 2021 fiscal year. That reflects a 28 percent jump in dollars from 2020 levels.
