Erie County's record-setting home sale year continues

East Aurora, N.Y. (WBEN) - Erie County's record setting pace for the sale of homes going north of $1 million continues.

In the latest $1 million-plus residential deal, a five bedroom house at 40 WestGate Drive in East Aurora sold for $1,070,707.

The nearly 4,000-square-foot house that sits on 4.5 acres of land went on the market in early July.

For Erie County, the deal marked the 108th time this year a private residence has sold for beyond the key $1 million threshold.

Last year, the county reported a then-record 105 $1 million-plus home sales.

The sale of private residences going for beyond the $1 million mark is considered a major economic milestone within the region's residential real estate industry.

Since 2024, there has been more than 325 private residences that have sold for more than $1 million.
