Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Erie County saw a new record high for spending by tourists in 2025, with visitors making $2.73 billion worth of purchases. Food and beverage sales accounted for $1.17 billion, while retail spending hit $524 million. $520 million was spent on lodging and $294 million on recreation. It's estimated that 7.6 million domestic visitors came to Erie County last year.
Joey's Pizza has opened its 3rd location, this one at the former Pizza Works at 712 Maple Road in Williamsville. Joey's has two other locations, both of which are in Depew on George Urban Boulevard and Broadway.
Gas prices stayed put over the last week in Buffalo at $4.21/gallon, according to AAA. Prices ticked up across the state, increasing 3 cents to $4.16, while the national average went up 4 cents to $4.10.
