Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Home sales in Erie County are staying hot heading towards the New Year, with two more sales of $1 million or more. The two homes, in Clarence and Orchard Park, bring the county's total up to 105 $1 million+ home sales for the year. That's a 26% increase from last year.

A multi-tenant plaza at 1479 Kensington Avenue in Buffalo has been sold to investors Mohawk Buffalo Kensington LLP. The property sits near the border of Buffalo and Cheektowaga and sold for over $2.5 million.

It's Christmas at the Aquarium of Niagara with holiday-themed events happening this weekend and New Year's Eve. Friday through Sunday is "YuleTIDE Days" with arts-and-crafts and an underwater scavenger hunt. The Aquarium is then ringing in the New Year with "Noon Year's Eve" December 31st, with a special sea lion high ball show.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has hired Perry Sham as the hospital's Chief Financial Officer. Sham is coming over from Nassau Health Care Corporation where he held the roles of Executive Vice President and CFO.
