
Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Family Promise of WNY has received a $300,000 grant from the KeyBank Foundation. That's the largest gift in the organization's history. The money will be used to hire a Housing Specialist and Development Director. Family Promise of WNY is in the process of building a second emergency family shelter in Buffalo with an opening date set for 2027.
Oishei Children's Hospital has dedicated the 'New Era Cap Foundation Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Wing' on the hospital's twelfth floor, in honor of a $500,000 donation made to the hospital by New Era. The donation was made last year during the hospital's annual Festival of Trees.
Batavia-based Pizza 151 is moving into the former Save-A-Lot on N. Aurora St. in the Village of Lancaster, per Buffalo Business First. The goal is to open in April. A future location is also planned for Orchard Park.
