Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Famous Doughnuts is coming back with new ownership. The bakery closed last November after 85 years, but young entrepreneurs Sid Sadat and Matt Ram are bringing it back at the same location at 3043 Main Street in Buffalo. Business First reports longtime owner Richard Roehm will stay on for a bit to teach Sadat and Ram the bakery's original family recipes.
Anchor Bar, Bada Bing, Doc Sullivan's, Kelly's Korner, Nine-Eleven Tavern and Wingnutz will represent Buffalo in The64's 2nd Annual America's Best Wings Tournament. They're going up against wing spots from across country, with Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, New Orleans and other major cities represented. You can vote at The64.com.
Hyundai's Hope On Wheels foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to Roswell Park to support the fight against pediatric cancer. With that $100,000, Hyundai Hope On Wheels has now hit $1 million in lifetime donations to Roswell.
