A former New York Central Railroad passenger station and rail house that was transformed six years ago has been acquired by a local investment group, who paid $5.8 million for the property at 68 Tonawanda Street in Buffalo's Black Rock neighborhood. The freight house was one of five New York Central developed around Buffalo in the early 1900s and is the last of the five to still be standing.
A hotel project in Ellicottville has expanded to include a restaurant and event space, with their price tag of the hotel increasing to $12 million. Hidden Gems Family Resorts LLC first proposed a project in 2025 to have a luxury villa complex at 7060 Route 242 that included 30 units but was scaled back to 25 units this past Spring. Construction is underway on the hotel, with completion expected in January and an opening by February 2027.
Erie County's 48th house is set to sell for more than $1 million in Elma, where a four-bedroom home at 6750 Clinton Street sold for $1.445 million. The deal is the third in as many days that saw a house sell for north of $1 million.
