Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Four breweries with roots in Buffalo's Old First Ward are collaborating on a project called "4 the Ward". Resurgence, Frequentem, BriarBrothers and Old First Ward Brewing are each making a pale ale under the "4 the Ward" title. Guests can stop in to all four breweries between February 5th and March 31st to get a pint of each beer and a stamp card. Customers will get a "4 the Ward" pint glass and $4 will be donated to the Old First Ward Community Center once the card is turned in.
BestSelf Behavioral Health is now accepting clients for its newly opened BestResponse Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center. The 24/7 mental health and substance use crisis center is the first of its kind in Western New York. Clients can stay for up to 24 hours and receive counseling, medication support, and connections to follow-up care. The center is located at 430 Niagara Street in Buffalo.
The Erie County Anti-Stigma Coalition has hired Meichle Latham as Member Engagement and Outreach Coordinator. Latham will work with member organizations on stigma-free mental health advocacy.
Niagara Falls-based Millennium Construction recently completed two projects in Akron over the holidays, wrapping up floor renovations at the Whiting Door and Perry's Ice Cream plants.
