Garwood Medical Devives and UB Collaborate

UB researchers and Buffalo-based startup Garwood Medical Devices have been awarded a $749,000 grant to evaluate a medical device. The device, called BioPrax™, was created to prevent, control, and eliminate bacterial biofilm infections associated with orthopedic implants. This evaluation of BioPrax™ could bring it one step closer to clinical use in amputee patients.
