22nd Century Group of Clarence has purchased GVB BioPharma, a Las Vegas-based hemp and cannabis manufacturing company. Business First reports that in order to close on the deal, 22nd Century assumed about $4.5 million of GVB's debt, paid closing costs and had to issue to GVB 32,900,000 shares of stock.
Also from Business First - Developer Joseph Paolini is proposing a five-building complex with warehouse and light manufacturing tenants on the site of the former Spaulding Fiber Co. plant site in the City of Tonawanda. Paolini has offered to buy the land from the city for $120,000.
