Sonwil buys more land for another warehouse

Gas prices were flat this week, with the AAA noting the average cost for a gallon of unleaded in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region stayed at $3.07. A year ago, a gallon of gas went for $2.20.

Sonwil Distribution Co. has purchased 60 acres of vacant land at West Seneca's North America Center commerce park for nearly $1.8 million.  Business First reports the company plans another distribution center for that site.  Sonwil already has a 263,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution center on the site next door and is developing another warehouse in the Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park.


Walden Galleria has new operating hours, starting today.  The mall will be open from 10am-9pm Mondays through Saturdays and Sundays 11am-6pm.  Restaurant venues will still have extended hours into the evening.

Cuba Cheese Co. will build a new cheese production plant in Franklinville. According to Business First, the plant will replace the current facility in Cuba.  All 229 workers will retain their jobs, with the potential to see 200 new jobs created.
