Gas Prices Drop Slightly

The average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas has dropped by a penny to $2.21. The AAA noting that price has only dropped two cents in the past month. A year ago, the pump price was forty-four cents higher.

A buyer may have been found for the closed up Newfane site of Eastern Niagara Hospital.  Business First reporting that Costello Holdings has offered to pay $1 million, pending a bankruptcy court approval today.  A person associated with the sale noting the intent would be to convert the building into senior housing or assisted living.

Chestnut Ridge Conservancy was selected by the Junior League of Buffalo membership to receive $215,000 raised from the 20th biennial Junior League of Buffalo/The Buffalo News Decorators’ Show House community fundraiser.  A Playground for All at Chestnut Ridge Park will be the only public inclusive and ADA accessible playground in WNY allowing both children and adults with physical and mental challenges to enjoy a play space together.
