This week brings another one penny drop in local gas prices. The AAA reporting that a gallon of unleaded gas costs an average of $2.20 in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metro area. The pump price was forty-four cents higher one year ago.
UnitedHealthcare has reached agreements with both Buffalo Medical Group and Catholic Health. According to Business First, Minneapolis-based UnitedHealthcare has partnered with more than 1.3 million physicians and providers across the country and 6,500 hospitals and other care facilities. The company reported $193.8 billion in revenue last year.
D'Youville College has finalized its purchase of the former Holy Angels Church. The university paid $1.2 million for the 1.6 acre site that includes three buildings.
Eveningside Vineyards in Cambria has ended its run, with owner Randy Biehl opting to retire. Business First reporting Biehl sold the production building and vineyard separately. A buyer from Washington, DC plans to convert the vineyard property into an aqua farm.
