Pump prices up another five cents this week

Another five cent increase in prices at the pump this week. Data from the AAA puts the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metro area at $2.77. Gas prices have gone up thirty cents in the past month.

It is opening day for custom club-fitting store Club Championship Golf.  Business First reports the store is leasing space in the former Anchor Bar at 7660 Transit Road, Amherst - just south of Sheridan Drive.

Last week, the Genesee County Economic Development Center board of directors accepted an initial application for incentives from Plug Power Inc.  Plug Power has proposed a $233 million green energy technology facility at the STAMP location on Rte 77 in the Town of Alabama.  The project will produce green hydrogen using an electrolysis process of water utilizing renewable hydropower.  It would initially create approximately 68 new jobs.

Four centers within the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership network have launched competitive grant programs that will help manufacturers solve challenges created by COVID.  These programs are led by ITAC, the Center for Economic Growth, the Manufacturing & Technology Enterprise Center and FuzeHub.  The four programs will award nearly $1 million to manufacturing and technology companies in New York State.
