Local gas prices rose another six cents this week. The AAA reports the latest average for a gallon of unleaded is $3.59. The local pump price has risen twenty-three cents in the past month.
Business First reports the sale of the Buffalo Niagara Marriott in Amherst closed Friday. Visions Hotels LLC of Corning bought the property for $14.43 million through its affiliate Amherst Lodging Partners. The sale was first announced in December.
NexGen Fitness has opened a second area location at 5933 Main Street in Williamsville. NexGen Fitness offers upscale private personal training suites, with separate equipment and dedicated personal trainers.
New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) and The Arc Erie County have jointly announced a $50,000 investment that will create a new janitorial training suite to train individuals with disabilities. Funding is through NYSID's Matching Grant Program which benefits its Member Agencies like The Arc Erie County.
