Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Governor Hochul this week approved the construction of a new solar array in Somerset. The facility will produce 125-megawatts of renewable energy, which is enough to power 25,000 homes. The facility is projected to create more than 200 construction jobs locally.

Niagara Gospel Mission at 1317 Portage Road in Niagara Falls gave out more than 1,700 meals on Monday and on Christmas as part of their Feed the Falls event. More than 300 volunteers helped out. Meals included turkey, corn, mashed potatoes and cookies.


After almost 10 years, redevelopment of the Trico Building Apartments at 628 Ellicott in Buffalo is almost finished. According to Buffalo Business First, the $112 million project will wrap up in early 2025. One hundred people already live in the building, which includes 242 apartment units priced between $1,500-$3,700.
