National Grid grants aid handful of local companies

Economic development grants from National Grid are aiding three projects in Erie County and a pair of Niagara County projects. Gear Motions Inc., J.W. Burg Machine & Tool Inc., and MHA Zentgraf GmbH have been awarded a total of $176,500 in grants to support their projects.  The Cayuga Landings Brewery and Restaurant Project in Niagara Falls and conversion of the historic Frontier House in Lewiston into a mixed-use building are each receiving $100,000 in grant funding.

According to Business First, developer Doug Jemal is about to purchase his third Buffalo hotel property. He is in negotiations to buy the Mansion on Delaware Avenue. No terms have been announced. Jemal already owns the Hyatt Regency Buffalo and operates the Richardson on Forest Avenue.
