Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Greenlight Networks is expanding into North Buffalo as construction on fiber internet infrastructure begins. 2,600 homes in North Buffalo will have access to the high-speed internet service come September. Greenlight Networks is currently available in East and West Buffalo, Cheektowaga, North Tonawanda and the Village of Lancaster.

The 42nd JP Morgan Corporate Challenge takes place Thursday night in Buffalo. Nearly 7,300 contestants from 230 different companies will participate in the race, which benefits United Way of Buffalo & Erie County. Buffalo Public Schools leads the way with the most entrants at 326, followed by Moog at 300.


Two 100-year-old buildings in Niagara Square have been purchased by Circle Back Holdings for $1.1 million. The buildings are located at 112 Franklin St. and 60 Niagara Square. The current tenants, Grotto restaurant and Sandwich'On by Macho will remain in the space.
