Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - SGC Development has paid just under $2 million for vacant land at the corner of Strickler and Greiner Roads in Clarence. SGC is planning a 62-lot, upscale subdivision on the land. The town is finishing its review of the subdivision. Following approvals, construction on the homes could begin this spring and be move-in ready by early fall of 2027.

The owners of Lackawanna pizza joint Sonny Reds have bought the building where the business has operated for years. Located at 1841 Abbott Road, the purchase price was $320,000.

Coming soon to Abbott in South Buffalo is Gordon's Tavern. Gordon's is moving in to the former home of Conlon's at 382 Abbott. That bar closed in 2018. Final approvals are expected from the city this week.

The price of gas in Buffalo dropped 1 cent over the last week at $3.17 per gallon. The nationwide average dropped 7 cents since last Monday, bringing prices at the pump down to $3 for the first time since 2021.
