Holiday Valley is eyeing some upgrades. Business First reports parent company Win-Sum Ski Corp. is prepared to invest $4 million to build a detachable quad chair lift by the Yodeler Lodge and run at the resort. An application for tax breaks has been filed with the Cattaraugus County IDA. If approvals are granted, construction would begin after the current ski season - with completion on the project expected by the start of the 2021-22 season.
The Walden Galleria will begin offering extended hours this Monday - opening at 9am and closing at 930pm. Beginning December 19th, mall hours will start at 8am. The Galleria will be open Christmas Eve from 8am-5pm, but will be closed Christmas Day.
Sonwil Distribution Company is preparing for an expansion. Next to its current 322,000-square-foot warehouse in the Buffalo Lakeside Commerce Park, Business First notes it will construct a new $36 million, 308,000-square-foot facility. Sonwil is negotiating with four tenants to make use of that space.
Lehigh Construction Group was awarded the 2020 Associated General Contractors of New York State Safety Excellence Award during the annual AGC Construction Industry Conference this week. Lehigh is one of only nine recipients in New York State this year.
