Coming off the long holiday weekend, the AAA noting that the seasonal surge in gasoline demand pushed national and local prices up about four cents. For the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area, that meant it cost $3.71 for a gallon of unleaded. On a positive note, the cost for a gallon of gas one year ago was $4.83.
AMMA Properties LLC, an affiliate of Pacillo Fitness Gear, has purchased the former Niagara Gear Corp. building on Military Road for $740,000. Business First reports the building will be used to store fitness equipment.
GObike opens its new headquarters and community workshop at 313 Broadway in Buffalo tomorrow. The organization now has 13 full-time employees and three part-time employees. They are involved in transportation design and implementation, bicycle education and repair, and safe streets advocacy in six Western New York counties.
