Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - HUNT Real Estate has named Charlie Hunt as its new CEO. The company has now been led by four generations of Hunt family members, beginning in 1911 with Charles S. Hunt, followed by Stuart Hunt in 1947. Peter Hunt then joined the firm in 1975. Charlie Hunt, the great-grandson of the company's founder, has worked for the family business in numerous roles since he was in high school. His father, Peter Hunt, will transition to Executive Chairman.
All Independent Health Medicare HMO plans received a 5-star rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for 2026. Independent Health is the only Medicare Advantage provider in Western New York to offer a 5-star plan.
Erie County is just one $1 million home sale away from tying a record set last year. A four-bedroom house on Lexor Lane in Clarence has sold for nearly $1.2 million. It's the 82nd sale of a private residence in Erie County to break the $1 million barrier this year.
The Sikh Cultural & Educational Society of Western New York has found a new home at 8550 Sheridan in Clarence. The Sikh cultural group paid $1.5 million for the 20,000 square foot building.
