JWS receives $30,000 in funding for refugee program

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Jewish Family Services of Western New York recently received $30,000 in funding from the Weyerhaeuser Family Foundation for The Parents and Teens Together in a New Country Project. The funds will be used to help refugee children from war-torn countries deal with the challenges of acculturating to the United States.

Sahlen Field will go cashless for concessions, merchandise, vending and restaurant purchases for the 2024 Bisons season. Cash can still be used to purchase tickets at the box office. Season Ticket Concession Dollars won't be affected by the change.


Gas prices in Buffalo are down 2 cents since last Monday at $3.30 per gallon. The national average continues to rise with a gallon of gas up 8 cents across the country at $3.28.
