Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - HP Hood is planning a $25 million, 7,700 sq. ft. expansion of its Batavia dairy facility. The company wants to build a two-bay, raw milk silo alcove and silo pads for four silos. They also want a remote truck testing lab and an electrical room. HP Hood says the improvements will boost capacity and dairy production. They're asking for over $1 million in tax breaks.

We're continuing to track General Mills' $130 million corporate restructuring that includes $70 million in what the company calls "severance expenses," meaning layoffs are coming somewhere in the company. WBEN reached out to General Mills for information on how the downtown Buffalo plant will be affected. The statement didn't mention Buffalo specifically but said in part "While this news represents hard choices, they are necessary to fund product innovation...and position General Mills for long-term success." The company hasn't filed any WARN notices as of now in Erie County.

Josh Allen is the new face of Snickers. The Bills quarterback's face will be on the candy bars' packaging beginning this month. The special packaging is available for a limited time only.
