Korean barbecue is coming to Western New York courtesy of national chain BB.Q. The company has leased 5,000 square feet of space at the Triad Apartments building at 1400 Millersport Highway. Restaurant goers can expect local favorites like chicken wings and fingers, as well as a plethora of Korean cuisine options.
The Larkin District is about to get a $15 million investment from the Frontier Group of Companies in the form of an 80,000 square foot mixed use apartment complex located at 592 Seneca Street. The development will also see an additional 25,000 square foot building that can be used as a warehouse or distribution center. Construction is expected to begin in early summer.
Finally, there are 108,000 households in Western New York lacking broadband Internet access, adding up to 17% of the region's population. In addition, over 82,000 houses in the region do not have any computer devices at all, including laptops and cell phones. The lack of such resources is a cause for concern not only for buying power but also education.
