Life Storage Inc. has agreed to an acquisition by Salt Lake City-based Extra Space Storage Inc. Business First says this will be an all-stock transaction. The merger, according to a cited release, will have a total enterprise value of approximately $47 billion.
Some Thruway rest stop redevelopment updates from Business First - Work on the new Angola Thruway service area will begin in June. This will bring the first Shake Shack to the region, along with Panda Express, Auntie Anne's, Cinnabon, Starbucks and an Applegreen Market Store. Work already underway on the new Pembroke and Clarence travel plazas should be done by the second quarter of this year.
North Fisher Properties LLC has been selected by the City of Lackawanna to develop a vacant parcel at 2019 Abbott Road. Business First says the purchase price was $33,000. North Fisher plans a two-phase project for two warehouses and six townhomes on the site.
