Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Law firm Lippes Mathias has entered into a strategic alliance with Western New York-based lobbying firm Masiello, Martucci & Associates. Former Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello is one of the partners at the lobbying firm. Former Erie County District Attorney John Flynn, who joined Lippes Mathias in April, says the partnership gives their clients "a distinct strategic advantage," as they can rely on political resources from MMA.
Buffalo-based Newman Properties has purchased the assets of Saxton Sign Corp, a sign-making company based out of Albany. Saxton has been in business for more than 90 years. Newman Properties' portfolio includes NOCO Dealer and Property Management, Empire Petroleum Services and Sturdevant Signs.
ECMC's Intensive Care Units have been awarded the gold-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. ECMC is one of just two Trauma Centers in the state with more than one Gold Beacon Unit.
