Catholic Health has struck a deal with lenders, giving it more time to meet requirements of a nearly $44 million loan agreement. As noted by to Business First, Catholic Health hasn't missed any loan payments and has kept servicing its debt while recovering from the pandemic and pursuing growth opportunities. The health system finished 2022 with operating losses of $175 million.
The robotic surgery program at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital recently hit the 15,000 case mark. In the program's first year in 2010, 127 patients were treated using one robotic console. In 2023, five robotic consoles with four dedicated operating suites are on pace to assist surgeons in completing over 2,500 minimally invasive robotic assisted surgeries.
