M&T head now part of Federal Reserve Board

M& T Bank chairman and CEO Rene Jones has been elected as a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Business First noting that Jones will be part of a nine member board that sets monetary policy for the country. His specific role will be representing the perspective of large stockholding banks.

Elma-based real estate investment group 358 Buffalo LLC has purchased a retail complex at 358 Buffalo Street in Hamburg for a reported $2 million.  Business First says that property includes a CVS Pharmacy and a Tim Hortons.


Safetec of America, Inc. is celebrating 30 years in business this month.  The company has grown from a small manufacturer to a worldwide leader in infection control and first aid.

Jeff Lebsack has been named the first director of the Riverline by The Western New York Land Conservancy.  The Riverline is a planned nature trail and greenway development centered on the former DL&W rail corridor.
