Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Maid of the Mist sets sail for its 141st season Friday morning at 9. America's 250th birthday will be celebrated with decals on the e-boats James V. Glynn and Nikola Tesla, and throughout the Maid of the Mist facility at Niagara Falls State Park. It's an early opening this year. First day for Maid of the Mist is usually around May 7th.
South Carolina-based pickleball franchise Crush Yard is coming to the Buffalo area. Business First reports the owners of Angry Buffalo at the Rose Garden on Wehrle Drive in Lancaster are building a dedicated pickleball facility behind the restaurant. Crush Yard is backed by former NFL tight end and Western New York native Rob Gronkowski.
The International Aviation Snow Symposium is coming back to the Buffalo Convention Center Friday, April 24 through April 29. Airport snow and ice control experts from across the globe will be in town talking about the latest snow clearing techniques and to receive awards. The Snowplow Rodeo is returning, which is an obstacle course for plow drivers.
