Buffalo, N.Y (WBEN) - Scene One Market Arcade theater on Main Street in downtown Buffalo will reopen next Wednesday, April 22. Bruce Almighty and The Natural, two movies with ties to Buffalo, will be among the films screened on opening day. The new Michael Jackson biopic "Michael" will screen next Thursday. The former AMC theater closed at the start of the year before quickly being bought by Scene One Entertainment.
Western New York's second Shake Shack location is now open. It's located near the corner of Transit and Maple in Clarence where a former SPoT Coffee used to be. The national chain has another location planned for Kenmore.
Jewish Family Services has received a five-year, $4.8 million grant from New York State's Office of Mental Health. The money will be used to create an adult Critical Time Intervention team alongside ECMC. A team of experts will work with people with serious mental illness and substance abuse on transitioning from ECMC's care to community living.
