Milestones Reached By Bank on Buffalo

BankOnBuffalo continues to surpass major financial milestones, since opening as a new bank in the Buffalo-Niagara region in 2016. The financial institution has reached $1.1 billion in deposits and more than $780 million in total loans. 106 employees have been hired. BankOnBuffalo has 10 area branches and an 11th is scheduled to open in early 2021 in Amherst.

UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has set an opening date for its newest location in Ellicottville.  The new facility will open to patients Friday, December 11th.  A December 5th ribbon-cutting is planned.

For the eighth consecutive year, the Mercy Hospital Comprehensive Stroke Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and Target: Honor Roll Elite Plus—the AHA’s highest level of hospital recognition.

Catholic Health has named John R. Durno administrator of McAuley Residence in Kenmore.

Niagara University Chemistry Professor Dr. Mary McCourt has received the 2020 Jacob F. Schoellkopf Medal in recognition of her achievement in chemical technology.
