Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - After temporarily closing due to issues securing a liquor license, Mohawk Place has found a partner that will operate the venue's bar business. Business First reports Sam Marabella and a group of partners will run the bar with a menu including paninis and soups. The goal is to reopen this summer after the state gives its final approvals for the venue's liquor license.
Business First also reports VanDeMark Chemical in Lockport will close later this year, putting almost 70 employees out of work. A WARN notice has been filed with the state Department of Labor, but the state's review hasn't wrapped up yet.
SPoT Coffee is expanding to East Buffalo at 155 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo. The location had a soft opening this past Monday. A Grand Opening celebration will be held next Wednesday.
The Buffalo International Airport Fire Department is hiring. Applications are due March 27th. A written test is scheduled for April 18th, followed by an agility test May 16th. You can apply at NFTA.com/careers/fire.
