2,500 jobs cut in WNY

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - More than 2,500 jobs were cut in Western New York this year, per Buffalo Business First. Labor negotiations, bankruptcy and plant closures have all been cited as reasons for jobs being slashed. Yellow, the logistics company that closed its Buffalo location in June, accounted for 304 of those cut.

Axis 360 Apartments, located at 89 LaSalle Avenue in Buffalo, has received eighteen electric vehicle charging stations through National Grid's Electric Vehicle Make-Ready Program. National Grid covered 70% of the costs of installation for the charging stations.


Pearl Street's contract with the Lafayette building in Buffalo will not be renewed, ending on March 1st of next year. Pearl Street has managed the Lafayette hotel, bar and restaurant since the building opened in 2012.
