Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - At 1:00pm on March 27th Canisius University will have cut a ribbon on the new Golisano Center for Student Success, which was possible from a $5 million gift from Tom Golisano himself. This center is a space for students that will be naturally lit, open and home to all the support services that students need.
An Amherst dentist is pushing back against a lawsuit that was connected to a failed plan to open a new dental school. Dr. Todd Shatkin has filed counter-claims against the landlord of a building on Kensington Avenue and is seeking a lease termination and repayment of $652,000.
An industrial equipment supplier will be moving its local operations from Cheektowaga to Elma after buying the former General Welding and Fabricating facility at 991 Maple St. The facility was bought for $3.8 million as John Barsh Jr., the western area manager for Comairco, said the 50,000-square-foot industrial building is much larger than the company's current space at 3250 Union Road.
