Mercy Flight is planning to replace a damaged helicopter with a new one. Business First says the cost will be $7 million, with another $1.5 million for equipping it and giving it a paint job. Funding comes from an insurance settlement and from M&T Bank and the U.S. Rural Agriculture Program.

Business First also noting that a Taco Bell and separate KFC restaurant will be coming to part of the property  that contains a Walmart Supercenter in North Tonawanda.  This is on the site of the former Melody Fair.  The eateries should be open by late summer.
