YMCA Buffalo Niagara has purchased a seven-acre parcel from Uniland Development. The site at 1984 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo will serve as the site of a new YMCA facility for residents of North Buffalo and the surrounding communities. Funding will come through community contributions to a capital campaign. The new facility will eventually replace the current Delaware Family YMCA and Ken-Ton Family YMCA.

Lactalis is also awaiting approval on a $4 million expansion of its headquarters building, which would eventually add another 35-40 jobs. Both projects would be finished by the end of next year.
