Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Ground will be broken on a new Taco Bell location in Lackawanna Wednesday at 1361 Abbott Road. For more than 20 years the site has been occupied by a vacant gas station. Two more Taco Bell locations are also planned for Grand Island and Tonawanda, all with planned openings in late-summer and early-fall. The three locations are expected to create 150 jobs.
One of the area's fastest growing cookie shops has chosen Elmwood Village for its next location. Half-Baked Cookies is moving into the site of the now closed Billionaire Creamery, which shutdown last summer. Half-Baked is known for their giant cookies stuffed with tasty ingredients like M&Ms and Oreos.
M&T Bank is still the largest public company in Western New York, according to Buffalo Business First's annual Public Companies List. M&T reported $9 billion in revenue last year. M&T is followed by Moog and National Fuel.
Gas prices in Buffalo have stayed about the same as last week at $3.59 per gallon according to GasBuddy. The national average for a gallon of gas is $3.56.
