Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Niagara County is hiring more correction officers. The recruiting process has been made less complex. The civil service exam has been replaced with an evaluation of training and experience, a physical fitness test and medical screening. The starting salary is between $26-$37. Applications are being accepted until May 20th.
The Made In America Store will celebrate 15 years in business this Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at its Elma location on West Maple Court. The celebration features live music, food and drink vendors, and a Cybertruck Rally & Tesla Display.
Launch NY has raised more than $15.775 million that will eventually be invested in local startup companies. Donors include MetLife, UB's Office of Business & Entrepreneur Partnerships and individual donors.
UB has named Erkin Özay chair of the school's Department of Agriculture. Özay has been with UB since 2014. He starts in his new role in July.
