Lancaster, N.Y. (WBEN) - The sale of a Lancaster firm to a United Kingdom-based conglomerate has led to a $7 million commercial real estate deal.
Britian-headquartered Applied Nutrition - as part of its $16 million deal to acquire NutraBlend foods in Lancaster - paid $7 million for NutraBlend's 108,000-square-foot manufacturing and operations center at 3805 Walden Avenue. The deal is the largest commercial transaction this year in Lancaster.
With the deal, which closed on June 1, NutraBlend has been rebranded as AN Labz, as it joins Applied Nutrition growing portfolio of companies.
NutraBlend produces a number of white label sports nutrition brands including several made with whey.
NutraBlend - now AN Labz - employs 100 people and produces more than $300 million annually in various products.
The deal was part of a busy period for commercial real estate deals - especially in the past few days.
Among the other deals:
- Investors Transit LLC paid $2.63 million for vacant, former Rite Aid at 8530 Transit Road in Amherst. The 13,824-square-foot building was constructed in 2002.
- Excelsior Orthopedics paid $2.7 million to buy the Ethan All furniture building at 3875 Sheridan Drive in Amherst. Ehan Allen will remain as a tenant in the nearly 20,000-square-foot building. The building neighbors Excelsior's Sheridan Drive campus.
- Investors 2374 N Falls Blvd LLC paid $975,000 for a building at 2374 Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda that houses a Checker's restaurant. Checker's is remaining as the tenant.
- In Downtown Buffalo, a multi-tenant building at 477 Main Street has been sold for $875,000 with investors 477 Main Street LLC buying the 5,600-square-foot building.
- Also in Buffalo, three-story, multi-tenant building at 1152 Main Street that dates back to 1889 was acquired by the investment group -1152 Main Street LLC.
