OCH Certificate of Need approved

The state Health Department has approved a Certificate of Need submitted by Oishei Children's Hospital for a new High Risk Maternity Unit on the hospital’s seventh floor. This allows the hospital to begin construction of 12 private inpatient rooms. The estimated cost of the project is $6.6 million.

Schnitzel & Co., featuring Swiss-German fare at 9210 Transit Road in Amherst, has reopened in time for Oktoberfest.  dinner hours are 4-9pm Wednesday and Thursday and 4-10pm Friday and Saturday - with live music on Fridays.

Next week, Genesee Brewing will begin releasing a new line of limited edition beers.  The first entry in this Brewers Series is an Imperial Stout with an ABV of 8%.
