Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Oishei Childrens Hospital has joined up with 11 other local organizations and companies, including The Buffalo Bills Foundation, KeyBank and the Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Fund to start the WNY Forward Fund to help support nonprofits. The conglomeration is awarding grants up to $25,000 until December 12th. Applications can be made at WNYForwardFund.org.
West Herr is teaming with the Rural Outreach Center to give out 250 turkeys to people in need November 22nd. The Rural Outreach Center covers more than 60 zip codes and 5 counties and is expecting a larger than normal turnout this year because of the recent pause on SNAP funding. The Rural Outreach Center is located at 730 Olean Road in East Aurora.
Trocaire College has named its dean of student success, Dr. Christine Ryan, to the school's leadership council. Dr. Ryan will help craft the school's policy and guide strategic planning.
