The 16th annual Oktoberfest will be returning to downtown Niagara Falls tomorrow at Old Falls Street in Niagara Falls. The free event will happen from 1pm until 8pm and will celebrate German festivities, including German music and food. There will also be kid-friendly activities throughout the event and admission is free and will happen no matter the weather.
The city of Lackawanna will officially open their new City Hall on Monday. The grand opening at 2838 South Park Avenue will include a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony as well as guided tours to show off the 18-million dollar project that provides a safe, modern and accessible City Hall. The ceremony will also include a National Anthem performance by Global Concepts Charter School Chorus and remarks from Mayor Annette Iafallo.
Progress is finally being made on Station 12 in Amherst. The property on 3097 Sheridan Dr. will have some of their 21 tenants that have been announced opening just in time for the holiday season along with more coming by summer 2027. Applications for new tenants have recently been submitted and the town does not have set dates of when these tenants will move in and open.
