Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - OLV Charities has announced this year's recipients of its Father Baker Legacy Award. Former NFL quarterback and Lackawanna native Ron Jaworski and his wife Liz will be recognized for their work with the JAWS Youth Playbook, a nonprofit benefiting at-risk youth. Philanthropist Amy Habib will be honored for her work supporting local catholic elementary schools and Canisius University. Mount Mercy Academy student Nola Marrero will receive the Father Baker Youth Service Award for collecting clothes for kids in Colombia and supporting students with disabilities. The awards will be presented September 17th at the Atrium at Rich's.

The Gin Mill in Ellicottville is being sold, along with the Gin Mill name, six rental apartments and a cocktail bar. Owners Ed and Maribeth Rick told Business First "it's just time to pass it on to younger people." The 165-year-old building is going for $9.5 million.

Weber's and Sahlen's are teaming up for 716 Day in celebration of Weber's being named the "Official Mustard of Sahlen's Hot Dogs". Free hot dogs will be served outside Sahlen Field this afternoon from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. There'll also be a Blackstone Grill giveaway.
