Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Three-years worth of federal funding for Orchard Park's Providence Farm Collective is being pulled by the USDA over apparent DEI concerns. The nonprofit says the funds were crucial in supporting its Incubator Farm Program. The farm harvests more than 100,000 pounds of produce every year.
Rite Aid is closing all of its locations in New York as the company files for bankruptcy for the 2nd time. There's 13 locations in Buffalo and 73 in Western New York. Layoffs will begin June 4th.
The North Park Theatre has rolled out its brand new $200,000 4K laser projector. Movies screening on the projector this week include 2001: A Space Odyssey and the Lord of the Rings series.
