Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The USA Niagara Development Corporation is accepting RFPs for the redevelopment of the Hydraulic Canal Site in Niagara Falls. The property is located between First, Second, Niagara and Main Streets near the Rainbow Bridge and Niagara Falls State Park. RFPs are due by December 18th at 2 p.m.
Canisius University has received $1 million from the state to renovate Old Main, the school's primary academic building. The renovation calls for modernizing classrooms and other spaces with state-of-the-art technology.
Wednesday was busy for the sale of apartment complexes in the Southtowns. Pillar Real Estate, through an affiliate, paid $19.7 million for the Birchwood Square and Camelot Village apartments in West Seneca. They also paid $18.3 million for the Sunset Court Apartments in Hamburg. An unrelated deal saw the sale of an apartment complex at 1200 Union Road in West Seneca for nearly $1.3 million.
