Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Roswell Park ranks #30 in this year's list of Best Hospitals for Cancer by US News & World Report. Roswell missed the top 50 for three straight years before climbing back in this year. Nearly 900 hospitals are eligible for the list.
Univera Healthcare has appointed Paul Valley to President. Valley has more than 25 years in the health insurance industry. He's taking over for the retired Art Wingerter, who served as President of Univera since 2009.
Donna Anderson, a Physician Associate of more than 25 years, has received the New York State Society of PA's President's Award. Anderson has spent 18 years of her career as a PA with Catholic Health. She's currently a professor in Canisius University's PA program.
A new bar and restaurant is celebrating its grand opening in Hamburg this afternoon at 3. 1812 Tavern will host a ribbon cutting at 5381 Abbott Road. The tavern's name is an homage to when the town of Hamburg was established.
