The Heckscher Foundation for Children announced a new workforce development program yesterday that aims to create 1,100 full-time jobs for underserved youths in New York State. Say Yes Buffalo will be part of the program, teaming up with employers M&T Bank, Wegmans and Delaware North.
TechBuffalo, a non-profit seeking to create an accessible community for those interested in technology, has been chosen by Microsoft to join its TechSpark program. TechBuffalo is one of forty groups nationwide chosen by Microsoft, which will see members of the non-profit go to Microsoft's Seattle headquarters to learn best practices for creating an inclusive tech community.
Approval has been given by the town of Clarence to Rane Property Management of Bowmansville for a multi-use building project. The buildings, which feature commercial and residential space, will be located at 7621 and 7631 Transit Road.
