Seneca Allegany and Seneca Niagara casinos received ten first place votes for Best Dining and Nightlife awards from industry magazine Casino Player. The voting covered a vast array of casinos throughout the United States. Among the categories covered, Seneca Allegany received first place honors in six categories, with Seneca Niagara earning first in four categories.
The Niacet Corporation plant in Niagara Falls will be receiving an expansion worth just under $49 million with construction starting this fall. The company, which produces components for the pharmaceutical, feed and food industries, could add fifty-one jobs once expansion is complete.
And after six years, the Pegulas' Healthy Scratch restaurant will be shutting down. Both remaining locations will end operations May 27th. The sites of the two remaining locations, Roswell Park and Buffalo General Hospital, have started to reach out to vendors to take over the spaces previously occupied by Healthy Scratch.
